BELLA THE DRAGONFLY
Here are some very simple instructions to create a really-easy-to-do felt dragonfly.
What you need:
blue felt, light blue thick felt, blue embroidery floss, two light blue beads.
How to do it:
Using the pattern above, take the felt and cut out two body-shapes and one wings-shape.
Then use the "sandwich technique": felt wings between the two felt bodies.
Sew the three pieces together using the embroidery floss. Decorate the wings.
Sew two beads on the head to give her a pair of eyes.
To create the antennas you can use a piece of twine with a knot on each end (as in the other felt insects) or a piece of wire with two small beads (as in speedycreativa's version).
You can use these dragonflies on pins, hairpins, bags, purses...
