ORNELLA THE LADYBUG

What you need:
Red and black felt, two circles of white felt, two black beads, two pieces of black twine, polyfill, black embroidery floss.
How to do it:
Take the black felt and cut two ovals, almost circles. Then cut two red wings like in the picture below, leaving some empty circles that will become the black dots.

Take a black oval and attach eyes and antennas.
To make the eyes you just need two white circles and a couple of beads.
The antennas are the same as in the buzzy insects: two pieces of twine (3 cm) with a tiny knot at one end. Use a wool needle to create two tiny holes just above the eyes through which you will insert the antennas. Now that the antennas go through the black oval you have to fix them into place using thread and needle (fix them on the hidden side of the balck felt).
Now the "face" is ready!

To create the body put the empty oval shape under the oval with the face and then put the red wings on the oval with the face (as you can see in the first picture). Now sew them all together using the blanket stitch.
Leave a hole in the rear end. Stuff the body nicely with polyfill and then close the hole.
NB: The wings are attached to the body only on the side. If you want to have them completely attached to the body just use a drop of glue.
